Wireless and Sensor Networking Laboratory

Welcome!

We are a research group in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Florida Atlantic University. Our focus is the design and analysis of algorithms for optimization problems that occur in wireless networking environments. We seek distributed, autonomous, robust and scalable algorithms for real world applications, but are also concerned that these algorithms have good theoretical merit. Another direction of our research is the simulation and experimentation of wireless sensor network applications and various networking protocols.

We are located in the Boca Campus, room SE 324A, in the Wireless and Sensor Networking Laboratory which was funded in 2004 by the NSF grant CNS-0422762. The Laboratory provides an infrastructure for research in the dynamic and challenging area of wireless and sensor networks and consists of DELL computer equipment (8 DELL Desktops Optiplex GX280SDT and 7 DELL Laptops Latitude D600) and Crossbow sensor equipment (80 MICA motes, 5 Stargate Gateways, 5 MICA Ethernet Interface board, and 35 Sensor and Data Acquisition boards).
